The old guys really are made up mostly of Troop 777 Alumni, some troop leaders, a few troop dads, and some other very good scouting friends from other troops. The guys that get up on time (and some of the late folks too) gather most Sunday mornings and some holidays at 7 AM to hike and share coffee, and maybe grab some breakfast. The hikes range from short "lets get out of the cold" hikes to 8-9 mile "we need to train" hikes... 3-4 times a year, they hold "Old Guy" breakfasts where the hike is VERY short and then we make breakfast and just hang out a bit. Breakfasts have been held at camp, in the valley, in the park and at some homes - no real pattern here mind you, other than the food is great! The Old Guys have had dinners to honor our better halves and to share some of the fun with our families. We have performed service for the troop and others, organized dinners, caught a show, visited the ball park, etc ..., and, sometimes, we take trips. A few trips are low adventure, front country camping, but most trips are a notch above what we let the boys do (after all, it is way more fun to camp where you are not at the top of the food chain...). There are some big pictures pages off of the menu bar above...
Summer 2011 saw us back at Glacier for a third year in a row and way more excitment - pictures coming soon! In 2012, we will try to run an old guy high adventure - got any ideas?

To the North, WAY NORTH, in the land of frozen tundra, polar bears, moose, and tons of other large animals and larger predators, is a mountain... the sound of its name is like a song from the sea - calling you to explore, the park that surrounds it a whisper to those who dare to backpack where they are not at the top of the food chain, Denali National Park... in 2013, will you be tough enough to join us? We are planning a two week trip in 2013 - week one will be the last week of July, where the old guys will backpack, white water raft, and other manly tasks in the wilderness. Week two will be the first week in August, when the young ladies of the old guys travel north and we spend some quality time in aquality places...Talk to Mr. York or Mr. Gilbert if you are interested... and start training...
